What we collect

JCIPatientSafety.org is a read-only directory. We do not require accounts, we do not run a comments system, and we do not collect names, addresses, or contact information from visitors browsing hospital pages.

Server logs

Standard web-server logs may record the request path, referring URL, user-agent string, and IP address. These logs are used only for security, abuse prevention, and diagnosing site errors.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are useful (page views, referrers, general geography at country or region level). We do not sell visitor data and do not share it with hospitals.

Cookies

The core directory does not require cookies to function. If any third-party embed (for example a future analytics script) sets cookies, we will disclose it here and provide any regionally required consent controls.

Third parties

Outbound links to CMS, hospital websites, and other resources are subject to those sites' own privacy practices; we are not responsible for them.

Your rights

If you believe we hold personal data about you and would like to exercise a data-access, correction, or deletion right (including under GDPR or CCPA), write to privacy@jcipatientsafety.org.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will update the "Last reviewed" date below and, where appropriate, be summarized at the top of this page.
